James Cordon hat sich mit seiner Late Late Show wieder einmal einen Musik-Klassiker. Diesmal muss der Song „Ironic“ von Alanis Morissette dran glauben. Die Parodie des Songs, die er zusammen mit der Interpretin in seiner Show performt, kann sich aber sehen lassen. Sie ist nahezu komplett auf das Web 2.0 gemünzt und greift Tinder ebenso auf wie Amazon, Netflix, Snapchat, Uber, Twitter und Facebook.

Auch sich selbst nehmen James Corden und Alanis Morrissette selbstironisch auf den Arm. Thematisiert wird nämlich auch, dass es zu wenig weibliche Latenight Hosts gibt und dass dem Originalsong Ironic immer wieder vorgeworfen wird, dass die darin umschriebenen Szenen gar nicht ironisch sind.
